Why Mentor in South Dallas?

Caring, adult mentors are needed by children all over the city and the world.  We have a heart specifically for the South Dallas community and hope to “seek the welfare [peace and prosperity] of the city” (Jeremiah 29:7) in this community, one child at a time.

Our Target Schools

CoH currently partners with Charles Rice Learning Center.  Our immediate goal is match 4th and 5th grade students at Rice with mentors.   We ask our mentors to continue relationships with students as they transition to Anderson Middle School and Lincoln High school.  Our goal is to eventually partner with the 3 other elementary schools that follow this track, and ultimately the children in the Madison High School track as well.
